Born in Lebanon in 1974, Michel El-Sabbagh is an accomplished photographer and director with more than 25 years of experience in event, fashion, advertising, and architectural photography. Holding a Master’s degree in Photography from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), Michel has built a career distinguished by his ability to capture decisive moments with artistry, precision, and emotional depth.
Over the years, he has collaborated with leading international events, designers, and brands. His portfolio includes fashion icons such as Georges Hobeika, Rami Salamoun, Elie Wehbe, and Joelle Behlok, along with high-profile productions for Takreem (Los Angeles, London, Geneva, Miami, Boston), Ricardo Karam, Supercopa de España (Saudi Arabia), Novartis, Roche, LG, Roadster, Liban Post, and many more. As the official photographer for the Lebanese Ski Federation and the Lebanese Canadian University (LCU), Michel has consistently combined technical mastery with storytelling vision.
His artistic achievements have been recognized through awards such as the Oscar Photographia (1997), a Gold Medal at the International Lebanese Exhibition for Photography, and commendations from the Lebanese Army–Ministry of Defense. He has also exhibited his work in Lebanon, Syria, and abroad, affirming his reputation as both a commercial and artistic photographer.
Michel has been equally dedicated to education, teaching for over two decades at institutions including Antonine University, the Lebanese Canadian University, and CAMM (Collège Artistique de la Mode Moderne). At the Fine Art Photography Academy (FAPA), he leads the Event Photography course and the Pro Compact Flashes workshop, where he trains students to master both the art of documenting live experiences and the technical craft of professional lighting.
