Course Description
This workshop brings actors and directors together in a creative space to explore the art of collaboration. Through guided exercises and scene work, participants will learn how to build trust, communicate effectively, and shape performances that feel authentic on screen. Directors will practice giving clear, motivating direction, while actors will discover how to interpret guidance and bring depth to their characters. Together, both sides will experience the shared craft of transforming words on a page into powerful cinematic moments.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Strengthen the relationship between actor and director through practical collaboration.
- Apply rehearsal methods that unlock emotion, motivation, and subtext.
- Explore blocking, timing, and movement to enhance storytelling.
- Practice directing performances with clarity, empathy, and precision.
- Respond to direction as an actor and adapt performances in real time.
- Build confidence in shaping scenes that balance technical requirements with artistic expression.
- Translate scripts into dynamic, believable, and engaging screen performances.
Prerequisite: None (open to actors, filmmakers, and beginners).
