Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the art and craft of videography. Designed for beginners, it blends technical training with creative exploration, giving you the skills to tell stories through moving images. Each session combines theory with hands-on practice, ensuring that you not only understand the concepts but also apply them directly in your projects.
Throughout the course, you will explore how to operate cameras with confidence, frame and compose shots with purpose, master exposure and lighting, and capture clean audio. You will also gain essential editing skills, learning how to transform raw footage into polished visual stories. From short films and commercials to vlogs and documentaries, this course equips you with the foundation to create impactful videos across multiple formats.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Operate different types of small format cameras with full understanding of their settings and functions.
- Apply the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) to achieve precise control over light and image quality.
- Use lenses and focal lengths creatively to shape the look and feel of your videos.
- Apply professional composition techniques, including rule of thirds, leading lines, headroom, and looking room.
- Execute smooth and dynamic shots using tripods, gimbals, and handheld techniques.
- Work effectively with both natural and artificial lighting, including three-point setups, reflectors, and diffusers.
- Record and manage high-quality sound to support your visuals.
- Perform basic video editing, color correction, and introductory color grading to finalize your projects.
