Course Description

This course introduces the fundamentals of becoming a creative team leader and Art Director in the fields of multimedia, fashion, food photography, product and advertising, and family portraiture. It is designed to help you develop a distinctive creative identity and prepare for work at a professional or international level.

The first stage of the course focuses on pre-production. You will learn how to shape ideas into strong visual narratives, whether for still images, films, or GIF productions. Through mood boards, visual literacy, and an understanding of the psychology of commercial imagery, you will develop the ability to craft concepts that communicate clearly and creatively.

The second stage is centered on production and execution. You will explore how to organize your team, plan the flow of a shoot, and guide both crew and talent with confidence. The experience culminates in a demo photoshoot session, where you will direct and produce a series of editorial images that translate your vision into impactful visuals.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Take on the role of an Art Director, understanding the responsibilities and the way the global advertising and promotion industry operates.
  • Create strong mood boards, develop storytelling concepts, and apply the psychology of visual communication to shape compelling narratives.
  • Plan and manage the full stages of an Art Direction project, from pre-production through production day, ensuring an organized and efficient workflow.
  • Lead and coordinate creative crews and talent, directing photoshoots that result in inspiring, editorial quality images aligned with your concept.

This course is ideal for:

Photographers and creatives who want to expand their skills beyond image-making and step into the broader world of Art Direction.
